Perfect All-in-One Cooker — I Use It Constantly!

Review:
I bought this Cuisinart four-mode cooker because I wanted one appliance that could handle multiple cooking tasks without taking up a lot of counter space. It can sauté, steam, slow cook, and roast — and it does all of them really well.

First impressions:
When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was how solid and well-made it felt. The controls are simple, the inner pot is sturdy, and nothing feels cheap.

Performance after real use:
After using it often for several different meals, I can say it’s become one of my most reliable kitchen tools. I love being able to sauté meat or vegetables right in the same pot before switching to slow-cook — no extra pans to wash. It cooks evenly, heats up fast, and everything I’ve made has turned out great.

Pros:
• Very versatile (sauté, steam, roast, slow cook)
• Saves time and reduces extra dishes
• Easy to clean
• Solid build and reliable performance
• Great for everyday cooking

Cons:
• None so far — it’s performed perfectly for everything I’ve used it for

Would I buy it again?
Absolutely. It’s one of those appliances I reach for constantly, and it has replaced several other gadgets.

I bought this cooker to replace my 2 old crockpots. One was over 20 years old with very basic functions. The other is about 8 years old but the digital display has gone haywire after moisture got into the console. So I like the design of this new cooker where the console is attached to the lowest point of the main vessel to minimize moisture seeping in over time. I have used this new cooker twice. Once just to cook something slowly to test the basics. It was an onion chicken dish. It came out better than using my old crock pot. I then did a chili dish that involved sauteing and slow cooking. With this device I did the sauteing and slow cooking in the same pot. I loved it. I used to have to do the sauteing in separate pans. This new cooker saved a lot of washing up. The 6 quart volume was deceptively large. (one of the old crockpots was 7 quarts and I was worried about if the new cooker can handle the volume of the same chili dish)

However there was something quirky about this particular cooker unit. It was missing the "START/STOP" button. Like most people, I don't like reading user manuals. When I tried cooking my onion chicken I could not start the cooker. A quick review of the manual led me to realize that the "BROWN/SAUTE" label was placed on the Start/Step button. There were 2 buttons labeled "BROWN/SAUTE." The second "BROWN/SAUTE" button functions the same as described in the manual for "START/STOP" . In a way it makes this cooker a little more endearing. I wish I was in the world of stamp collecting 🙂
